Virgo Full Moon

This is the sign within which the full moon is taking place this month. The full worm moon. The full moon just before the Vernal Equinox. Its time to start getting our ducks in a row. You might be feeling the urge to start some spring cleaning (if you are in the southern hemisphere, you still get the idea). Personally, I feel overwhelmed. I know that Mars turning direct and finally picking speed has led me to agree to several projects. All of which I am excited about, but there are many and I am only one. It isn’t a matter of not having the time, its a feeling of not knowing where to start. There are so many things I need to do and thinking about them all at once paralyzes me.

This full moon is asking me to assign priorities. Whether by date or some other abstract measurement, we need to put my urgent thoughts into order of importance. This is all a matter of de-conditioning the mind from the impulse it has to produce stress. Maybe its a reality check, and by producing excess ephinephrine and norepinephrine this body feels more real. Its very important to feel safe in the body and to practice surrendering to the emotions and feel through them without attempting to suppress them. Virgo is symbolized by the virgin archetype. The one that leads us through the underworld and brings us back to the physical realm. We could feel topics of shame emerging, we may experience self doubt or self judgement. This is all normal, and it passes, but it won’t be gone quickly. We will have to sense into the suffering knowing that it will subside when we learn to accept it and work through it methodically.

Saturn

Saturn, the ruler of feigned appearances crosses over into Pisces within the same hour of the Virgo Full Moon. This further emphasizes the need for grounding our dreams in reality. We might begin testing the boundaries for what is in the realm of possibilities with regards to direction in our lives. Saturn is leaving home for the first time in nearly five years, embarking on a new journey around the zodiacal wheel. He will not return home again for a quarter of a century. Pisces is the liminal space between death and rebirth. It is the mystical realm of dreams and visions.

We are traversing the underworld and in order to return, things must be in order. We will be shedding that which we can no longer carry on our backs. The items that will only weigh us down as we swim in the deep waters of Pisces. This is a time of letting go. Saturn represents the fears and limitations we have to overcome to achieve success, however we define that. The past 2.5 years have been about managing our duties and coming up with innovative ways to not let them overwhelm us. The next 2.5 years will feel like swimming with a weighted vest. One final time to check your scuba gear before we are down in the deep blue abyss. Be sure to have your air turned on.
